LAURA PIETROCINI
Laura Pietrocini was born in Rome and in 1991 got her first class degree at Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, under the guidance of Professor Gabriella Galli Angelini, winning the Premio Marcello Intendente which was intended for the best degree holders of the year. In 1993 she got her Chamber Music degree in the same Conservatory and in 1998 she attained her Postgraduate Degree at Santa Cecilia National Academy with Maestro Felix Ayo.
She carried on her pianistic improvement with Maestro Konstantin Bogino in Paris and in Rome in the Accademia Angelica Costantiniana. She won several National and International Contests. She performed as a solo and in various chamber formations in the most important concert Institutions in Italy and abroad, always attaining wide approval both from the audience and the critics.
In 1997 along with the violinist Marco Fiorentini she created the Ars Duo with which she could win several national and international Competitions, such as: 1° Concorso Nazionale di Esecuzione Musicale “F. Feroci” , 1° Concorso Nazionale di Musica da Camera “Il Miglio d'Oro” , 17° Concorso Internazionale di Musica da Camera di Trapani , 14° Concorso Internazionale di Musica da Camera “Città di Caltanissetta”, Concorso Europeo di Musica da Camera “Città di Catanzaro” , 4° Concorso Internazionale “Premio Trio di Trieste”, 50° Concorso Internazionale “G.B.Viotti”.
She regularly performs, solo or in various chamber formations, in Italy and abroad. The Duo, since its constitution, carries out an intense concert activity, always obtaining warm approval both from the audience and the critics in Italy and abroad (Germany, France, Austria, Spain, Slovenia, Croatia, Czech Republic and Latin America).
Worth listening are the last recordings with the Paris Chamber Orchestra (violin, piano and orchestra concert by F. Mendelssohn) and those for the "Materiali sonori" record company (Janacék, Denison and Prokofiev sonatas).
In 2000 she founded Ars Trio di Roma.
Laura Pietrocini teaches masterclass and bachelor for piano and chamber music at the Accademia Internazionale Musicale in Rome, as an assistant for the piano course of M.° Konstantin Bogino. |
